Fun at the park in our new vest

Recrafted from an old (cashmere?) jumper of mine.
Hmm.... once again, like the pyjamas cut a little short in the body, but I was working with a small piece of wool to start with!
First attempt at using some ribbing as binding on the arms, after much deliberation, dark green was chosen, and I've since been told the poor child looks like he belongs in the Australian Cricket Team. Oh well, they can do with some help I guess.

And yes, the slippery dip IS fun!

Made in April, just in time for an Easter egg hunt.

Cosy pyjamas....

... are perfect for building towers in.

Pattern traced from another pair of pyjamas. And then, lengthened in the legs, but not enough in the body. Oops.

Now the pyjamas are made, but the next job is to chop in half and lengthen the body so they fit properly!

Made in March from the stash of flannelette bought at the end of season sale last year.

The Bucket Hat - Does this count as 1 or 2?

Does this count as 1 or 2 completed projects if it's a fully reversible bucket hat?
Finished way back in April, when I was too scared to commit to my Year of Getting Things Done.
Modelled by biggest head and smallest head, and too big for both. Has barely been off biggest head's head since it was sewn.

In fact, this project jumped the queue, when I bought the fabric scraps at a shop in Surry Hills. Impulse buying at it's best.

The demin was from the short legged husbands jeans which needed hemming. But that's another story. (And another job done).

The Year of Getting Things Done

This is the year of getting things done.  I've put all my unfinished projects in a box, and nothing more can go in, until something comes out!  Not just to 90%, but actually really, truly finish them.

And since I now have a sewing machine that doesn't sound like a machine gun (as my sister told me), I have no excuse not to learn to sew, and not to actually complete things.

So here goes.
